Isak's 5th Birthday Party

Thursday Grandma stopped over to give Isak his Birthday present. She was heading off to Texas for a few days, and will be missing Isak's real birthday this year. She gave him a hand painted Pinocchio puppet. Isak has really been enjoying it.

Today we had a good old fashioned basement style Birthday party for Isak. We had 11 kids + our 3. It was a bit wild, but we think all the kids had a good time. Thanks to our friends Dan & Juli for staying and helping us out!

We played drop the pin in the pail, Musical chairs, and duck duck gray duck.

Isak received such wonderful presents from all his friends, he even was willing to share them with his little brothers. It was a good day we will sleep well tonight!

Our visitor

Over the summer we have occasionally had a little visitor that comes and spends some time with us in the back yard. This cat is a neighbor hood cat, and is the sweetest ever!

As you can see the boys absolutely love her, and follow her every move. I think the cat loves the visits as much as we do. She has 3 very excited boys chasing her around the yard, yet she sticks around for hours. The best way to have a pet:)

Brotherly Love

Since we moved the boys into Big boy Beds, we have been trying to capture the cute ways they fall asleep together. Harrison seems to always be snuggling up next to Christopher in his bed. It is always such a treat to go up at night and see what we find.

This was last night they were holding hands. I will keep trying to capture these sweet moments, as they are not always so sweet to each other during there waking hours.

3 days of Halloween!

Isak wanted to be a Robot this year. The boys were little monkey's witch is what they are in real life. I could not pass them up!

I spent most of last Wednesday working on Isak's costume, he had a party at school Thursday. Friday we had a Moms club party, and Saturday was Halloween. The boys and I carved our pumpkins from the apple orchard during the afternoon. Daddy was out finishing up some last minute yard work before the snow flies. We had a quick dinner and then it was off for tricker treating!

Isak designed his own pumpkin this year, and was very proud of it! The boys needed a little help, they doodled all over there pumpkins and had a great time. When it came down to the cleaning out part, they were interested for about 5 minutes. Then I was stuck doing the rest! Oh well maybe next year Isak will like that part a little more??

This is the end product they really enjoyed looking at them all lit up!

This was the first year the boys went tricker treating. It only took a couple houses, and then they were into the routine. They could hardly believe people were giving them candy!

They were all moving so fast I only was able to get one good one of Harrison in his monkey suit!

It was really a fun night!

Whistling Wells Apple Orchard

Last Saturday we finally had some good weather! Despite the frost and snow we have had, we decided to head out to the Apple orchard with some of our very good friends for a beautiful Fall day. The Boys had so much fun picking apples, and running all over the place!

Racing threw the orchard, what a great way to spend the day. They fell asleep as we were driving out to the main road. We look forward to next years trip!
